Workforce Extensions, on behalf of our client, a dynamic manufacturing facility are seeking a Transport Coordinator to join their logistics team.
*Role to commence in January 2025
As a Transport Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting operations by ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within their facility. From operating equipment to adhering to safety protocols, your contributions will directly impact their production flow and overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Plant and Equipment: Handle various equipment efficiently in a medium-volume production environment.
- Quality Control: Apply quality control techniques to maintain high standards in your work.
- Safety First: Safely operate high-risk equipment, such as forklifts, while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a team setting and independently under supervision, taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Adherence to Procedures: Follow company safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Loading and Logistics: Load vehicles according to company policies, including oversized load and restraint requirements.
- Inventory Management: Maintain organized stocking areas and ensure cleanliness in the yard.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including SWP and Checklists, and report any issues promptly.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience and Qualification: Current Forklift licence with experience in a similar role. A First Aid certificate is also preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Instruction Comprehension: Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
- Motivation: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Hours and Compensation:
Hours: Monday to Friday, starting between 5am-6am and typically ending around 1:30pm-2:30pm, with potential for overtime as needed.
Payrate: $35-$38 per hour, with opportunities for additional hours based on operational requirements.
