WE at Workforce Extensions are currently supporting the team at Geelong Galvanizing by seeking a stable, driven and team oriented Sales and Production Supervisor to join their team.

About the role

The Sales and Production Supervisor will oversee steel purchasing and related supplies, goods inwards management, production scheduling, processing, and dispatch to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.

The key to your success will be ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards, while adhering to safety standards and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive sales orders/requests for quotes daily for all products and ensure accurate and timely responses to customers.
• Answer incoming telephone calls taking phone orders and answering queries.

• Implement and conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications, company standards and customers' expectations.

• Generate and develop quotes for stock orders and contracts.

• Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.

• Generating purchase orders and communicating with suppliers to ensure materials are ready and available for production when required.
• Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimise costs and maximize working capital.

About You:

To be considered we are seeking candidates with the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Previous experience in providing high level customer service and sales support to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships.

• Previous experience within an steel fabrication/engineering/manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Basic CAD experience
• Ability to read and produce shop drawings

• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Ability to read drawings along with strong technical knowledge of production processes, materials and equipment.

• Excellent time management skills

• Excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management, and strong understanding of Workplace OH&S Requirements.
