This role is specifically based at the new world-class snack bar manufacturing facility located in Delacombe.

About the Role
The AP & Payroll Manager will form an integral part of the Ferndale Foods finance team by processing timely payments to a variety of creditors and manage the end to end payroll functions for a large and continually growing team.

Regular duties will include;

Manage end to end weekly payroll for approximately 80 staff and growing

  • Regularly reviewing individual pay rates (and highlighting issues) to ensure fairness and equality across the business
  • Monitoring all leave balances and ensuring accurate provisions are occurring
  • Calculate and process monthly payroll tax, superannuation and child support payments
  • Manage all EOFY payroll processes and ensure all updates in accordance with legislation eg. Fair work

Manage Accounts Payable

  • 3 separate companies
  • Oversee and perform the day-to-day account payable functions such as high-volume invoice receival and approval, payment processing (including EOM), supplier management
  • Manage foreign currency invoice and payment
  • Provide reports to financial manager and CEO of forecasted payments for EOM
  • Manage employee expense claims
  • Meet digital record keeping standards - paperless accounts payable
  • Group bank accounts are regularly reviewed and maintained, to ensure accuracy and sufficient cash flow

Assist Finance Manager & CEO

  • Process month end journals
  • Assist in EOFY process
  • General support when required

To be considered we are seeking applicants who have the following experience, skills and attributes;

  • Previous experience in managing large, end to end payroll functions
  • Sound administrative skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience in working across multiple companies
  • Display strong experience in working with large scale clients
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MYOB
  • Excellent data entry (both numeric and alphanumeric) skills
  • Flexibility to perform well in both autonomous and team-based settings
