The Role:

Workforce Extensions South Brisbane Health are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in the South Brisbane area. This position offers flexible casual opportunities in a hospital-based setting. As an essential part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a strong and meaningful impact on patient well-being.

Responsibilities:

-Conducting face-to-face evaluations of patients' skills and difficulties
-Assessing patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored treatment plans
-Creating strategies to help patients address their challenges
-Evaluating the patient's environment, including their home or workplace, to recommend necessary adjustments
-Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to review and discuss the patient's progress
-Instructing patients on exercises and techniques to integrate into their daily routines
-Keeping accurate records, progress reports, and documentation.

Successful candidates will possess:

-A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
-Background in Rehabilitation, Neurological and Orthopedic roles.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Dedication to delivering exceptional, client-focused care
-Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
-A commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
-NDIS Worker Screening Clearance - or able to obtain.
-Working with Children Blue Card - or able to obtain.
-Police Clearance
