ABOUT THE ROLE
Working approximately 45 hours / week with the option of additional work or flexible work hours. The available role trade qualified Boilermakers or Sheetmetal workers looking to work locally or looking at a long term change to local employment.
The technically minded and successful team will be seeking applicants who will be required to carry out a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
DUTIES:
- Fabrication and welding of new truck tray body builds for support truck and mobile drill rigs
- Fabrication and welding of drilling rigs and associated equipment and accessories
- Repairs, rebuilds and modifications of drill rigs
- Working with a range of materials from sheet metal to structural members
- Welding with solid MIG and flux cored wires - TIG welding and aluminium welding occasionally - finished products to meet a high standard of workmanship
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Trade Qualification or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience
- Current valid WA drivers' licence
- Current WA WorkSafe High Risk Forklift Licence (LF)
- Own tooling
- Similar workshop experience or minimum of 5 - 10 years trade experience
- Experience with cutting, rolling, bending and automated welding processes
- Must be able to pass a weld test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
