Excavator Operator

## Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating an excavator to complete various tasks on mine sites.

## About the Job

This position involves 12 hour days, 5 days a week and will require working at the Maules Creek and Vickery Whitehaven locations on rotation. This position could become a fulltime permanent position for the right candidate.

## Responsibilities

• Safely operate an excavator to perform tasks such as digging trenches, loading trucks, and moving material

• Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines when operating the equipment
  
• Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality
  
• Coordinate with the construction team to meet project deadlines and goals
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

## Qualifications

• Valid certification or license to operate an excavator
  
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators
  
• Current Order 43 or willing to get one at own cost
  
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to operational guidelines
  
• Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and blueprints
  
• Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery

## Day-to-Day

• Operate excavator to complete assigned tasks
  
• Conduct equipment checks and maintenance
  
• Coordinate with construction team to meet project needs
  
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines
  
• Maintain a clean and efficient work environment
