About the Role:
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and governance of clinical and direct client care delivery.
Your role will include overseeing monitoring systems to ensure strong clinical governance within the service. Key responsibilities include:
-Providing clinical expertise
-Leading and managing clinical and direct care staff
-Delivering innovative care and services
-Ensuring client care needs and outcomes are met within the facility
-Ensuring the facility consistently meets accreditation standards
-Cultivating internal and external relationships
This position is supported locally with 24/7 coverage from Clinical Nurses and Registered Nurses, ensuring the facility maintains a culture of person-centred care.
Duties:
-Provide clinical leadership to the direct care team
-ACFI management
-Overseeing and monitoring the delivery of care and lifestyle support to ensure services are provided based on individual needs, and regularly assessed and evaluated in line with compliance requirements.
-Assist in maintaining occupancy of the facility
-Deliver innovative care and service
-Liaise with Facility Manager to forward business plan and input to strategic directions.
-Assist to monitor staff performance
Role Requirements:
-Tertiary Qualifications in Health Science (Nursing) or Nursing Qualifications
-Current registration with AHPRA
-First aid and CPR certificate required within one month of commencement
-Up to date influenza and covid vaccinations
-Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
-Experience in a clinical leadership and management role
-Strong understanding of the aged care industry and the clinical management requirements
-Intermediate to advanced computer skills to ensure ability to use management and clinical systems
