Civil Labourer

Workforce Extensions are seeking a Civil Labourer for an ongoing role with Local Government Infrastructure Projects.

Location: Thornleigh, NSW. Monday to Friday (some weekend work) $36.00 per hour + O/T + SUPER + Applicable Allowances

Requirements:

• Drivers Licence
• Minimum 2x years previous experience in Civil/Roadworks environment.
• White Card
• Traffic Controller Cert. (Highly Regarded)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• An honest and reliable person with a high level of integrity, working as a team member in a work crew, a successful candidate will be required to carry out a variety of tasks to ensure the timely completion of work order activities.
• The ability to undertake tasks required in accordance with work order instructions, procedures, and the supervisor's instructions and directions.
• Physically Fit and able to carry out manual labouring tasks.
• Great listening and communication skills are essential to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly, and accurately.
• Basic concreting, road pavement and use of pavement materials, shoulder and drainage works.
• Basic knowledge of the use of construction machinery, specialised equipment, tools, and construction materials.
• Proven experience in repairing and/or restoring road pavements and footpaths.
• Demonstrated ability to read simple road construction plans and basic specifications.
• Happy to work in an environment that is often subject to noise, dust, dirt, fumes, odours, moisture, and wetness.
