We are currently seeking an Assisted Travel Support Officer (ATSO) to provide essential supervision and support to students with a disability during their week day school bus commute. Students with complex health and/or behaviour needs require the services of an ATSO to ensure their safe travel to and from school.

Job Description:
Assisted Travel Support Officers (ATSO) are employed through the Department of Education on a temporary basis during the school year. Your primary responsibilities will include accompanying students on the bus, providing supervision and maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and teachers. This role requires excellent communication skills, reliability, and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Abide by the Department of Education's Child Protection and Code of Conduct policies
Supervise students with a disability during transport to ensure their safety and well-being.
Maintain a courteous and respectful relationship with students, drivers, contractors, parents, schools and ASTP staff
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for the students.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Be punctual and reliable in ensuring students get to and from school
Undertake mandatory online and in-person training as required
Requirements:
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Physical ability to perform the duties, including assisting students with a disability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Respectful and understanding attitude towards students with a disability.
Valid employment Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain
