Assistant Restaurant Manager

Doc Hughes is an award-winning café and modern Australian restaurant situated right on the Torquay Esplanade with a huge focus on exceptional food and beverage offerings and customer service.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced assistant restaurant manager to help lead the fantastic team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage, lead, and motivate front of house team
• Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Oversee cost control measures, manage labour costs, and monitor KPI's to drive continuous improvement
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food and beverage service
• Collaboration with the kitchen team in menu training and allergy matrixes
• Fostering a positive, energetic, and collaborative team environment
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety & liquor licensing requirements.
• Oversee and organise restaurant bookings
• Work closely with the management team
• Nightly cash-ups and venue lock-up

Our dream team member:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
• Organisational skills and an attention to detail
• An ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with POS systems and booking systems
• Must hold a current VIC RSA
