Assistant Cafe Manager - Geelong

Opening in mid-October, is a new cafe aiming to bring some of Melbourne's best to the Geelong Cafe scene. Our client is in search of an experienced Assistant Café Manager with a passion for quality (and delivering the best coffee of course!) to lead their team.

This café, opening Tuesday to Sunday each week have built a team who are fun and professional, community minded, excellent communicators, have barista experience, love coffee, and want to be a part of something new and exciting.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage, lead, and motivate front of house team
• Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food and beverage service
• Collaboration with the kitchen team in menu training and allergy matrixes
• Fostering a positive, energetic, and collaborative team environment
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively
• Oversee and organise bookings
• Work closely with the management team

• An ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with POS systems and booking systems

With café opening hours of 7am-2:30pm Tuesday to Sunday the successful applicant will be required to be available for weekend and mid week shifts with number of hours to be negotiated between 30-35 per week.

An attractive hourly rate along with potential relocation support will be offered.
