Role Overview:
As an Accounts Administrator at Chief Group, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the business. Working closely with both the Managing Director and Financial Controller, you'll contribute to a variety of administrative and financial functions to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer invoicing and accounts receivable.
- Assist with month-end functions including asset finance amortisation entries, job costing journals, and clearing account reconciliations.
- Support the resource department with administrative tasks, such as raising purchase orders, when required.
- Maintain subcontractor insurances and ensure adherence to civil procurement processes.
- Complete monthly updates, account reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Perform weekly STP payroll reconciliations and monthly reconciliations for Coinvest, Incolink, and superannuation accounts.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the company's products and processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding client and resource department queries.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of quality procedures, workflows, and new software.
- Analyze job costing processes across all departments, civil project management, and contract administration.
- Provide administrative support where required
Skills, Experience, and Attributes Required:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a finance administrative role within a medium to large corporate environment.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll legislation, accounting principles, and standards.
- Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to set priorities, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high accuracy when inputting financial data.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve outcomes.
- Pressure Management: Ability to remain calm and efficient when working under pressure.
