Yard Hand

## Overview

We are seeking a Yard Hand to join our team and assist with the day-to-day operations of our grain handling facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling grain and must possess a valid forklift license.

## Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move and transport grain within the yard

• Assist with loading and unloading grain from trucks
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the yard
  
• Rotate stock on a first in first out basis
  
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols while handling grain and operating equipment
  
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the yard and equipment

## Qualifications

• Previous experience in handling grain is preferred
  
• Possession of a valid forklift license is essential
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

## Day-to-day

The Yard Hand will be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading, rotation of stock and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard. They will also be expected to follow safety protocols and perform general maintenance duties as needed.
