General Hand

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Hand to join our team in the bituminous industry. The role involves working in a manufacturing environment where bitumen-based products are produced, handled, and prepared for distribution. You will assist with the daily operations of the factory, ensuring the efficient and safe production of bituminous materials used for road surfacing, waterproofing, and other industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and equipment used in the production of bituminous products
• Assist in mixing, pouring, and processing bitumen and related materials
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear at all times
• Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading/unloading
• Assist with quality control by inspecting materials for defects or inconsistencies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Support other team members in meeting production deadlines and targets

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a factory or industrial setting, preferably in bituminous production or a related industry
• Ability to work in hot and physically demanding environments
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Basic mechanical skills for operating and maintaining equipment
• Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when necessary
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
• A good team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in handling bitumen or similar materials
• Forklift or other heavy machinery certification
