Workforce Extensions Geelong is working with a leading player in the steel industry, known for their production of a range of rural products designed to withstand harsh environments from coastal locations to inland farms. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Operator to assist the team based in Corio.

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a critical role in our clients' steel manufacturing and distribution process. Your primary responsibilities will include operating an overhead crane for moving steel materials and safely manoeuvring heavy loads using a forklift. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize an overhead crane to lift and position steel components.
• Safely load, unload, and transport steel products using a forklift.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with inventory management, including accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operating an overhead crane.
• Valid forklift operator's license and experience in forklift operations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
